Why should I build with Mainland Residential?
The building industry goes in cycles. As we have all seen, building companies come and go. Some New Zealand franchises and individual builders have left some considerable train wrecks along the way. We know and understand that this is your investment. Not only do we want to simplify the process but we also want to make you feel safe and secure.
There's a new face in the office.
Marcus Hammond has been associated with mainland residential homes or Kelvin Fowler as a building contractor since 2002.
When the opportunity to be involved with clients from conception to completion became available it was too good to pass up.
Marcus is a born and bred local that has been building for nearly 30 years. That’s if you don’t include the years he spent following his dad around building sites all over Marlborough.
He started building in the late 1980’s as an apprentice for a builder who at the time was building some of Marlborough’s elite and award winning homes. Not long after completing his apprenticeship he partnered with another builder building kit set homes for a nationwide franchise. Since 2001 he has split his time between building direct for clients and contracting this is when his 15-year association with Kelvin Fowler started.
Over the years Marcus and companies he has worked for have received a number of awards in local and national house of the year competitions. Marcus’s ongoing quest for excellence has been recognized by others in the building industry.
Marcus is very excited to help guide you through the process of building from start to finish.
